[DCRM-L] Historic and Special Collections Serials Cataloging Survey

Do you catalog historic or special collection serials? You are invited to participate in a research study. If you are not the right recipient, please feel free to forward this email to others.
Research studies include only people who voluntarily choose to take part. This summary explains key information about this research. You are urged to ask questions about anything that is unclear to you.
• This research is being done to help further understanding of how librarians create cataloging and descriptive metadata for historic and special focus serial publications.
• Participants will be asked to participate in the study by completing one online survey with the option to participate in a follow-up interview.
• Completion of the survey should take no more than 20 minutes.
• There is a risk of loss of confidentiality if your information or your identity is obtained by someone other than the investigators, but precautions will be taken to prevent this from happening. The confidentiality of your electronic data created by you or by the researchers will be maintained to the degree permitted by the technology used. Absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.
• You will not benefit from taking part in this research study.
• You will not receive any payment or compensation for being in this research study.
• Funds from the Penn State University Libraries will be used to support this research. You have the right to ask any questions you may have about this research.
