[DCRM-L] Glossary Terms--Title

I don't have a solution to the circularity of the terms for various types
of titles in the glossary, but I would like to suggest eliminating the
term "chief title" from the glossary and the text.  I realize this may be
kicking over a hornet nest.  However, the term does not appear in AACR2,
and I have never understood exactly what the term contributes to our
discussion other than an expansion of "title proper." Perhaps someone else
can explain, and in the process, we might arrive either at a more useful
definition of the term or a decision to eliminate it.
