Ted,

Yes, fields 336-338 may be used in RDA and AACR2 records.

As noted in the Report of the PCC Post-Implementation Hybrid Bibliographic Records Guidelines Task Group, these fields may be added in AACR2 records "to enhance access."

Or you could make the records DCRM(B) and RDA!

Sorry for any confusion. Of course what I really meant by my second sentence is: can I make those records DCRM(b) without removing those fields? I assume other libraries may be unhappy if we remove them. Fortunately, I was able to find other records for the same title without them.

Best, Ted

I noticed today several records which were not coded RDA but nonetheless had 336-338 fields on them. At this point, can we call something DCRM(b) with those fields? One of them was coded AACR2 (OCLC 13617428) and another (15054572) has no coding in the Desc fixed field.

Sorry if this has already been discussed at some point.
