[DCRM-L] Bob Maxwell wins ABC-CLIO award

On first dipping into it, I wrote at once to Bob, about *Maxwell's Handbook
for RDA*:

It might seem odd to most human beings to regard a work with such a title
as an obvious labor of love, but so it is: love of our profession and of
our always potentially wacky sub-discipline.

It is likewise a work of considerable imagination, in the way that you
anticipate questions and negotiate the dips and curves of the road from
AACR to RDA--riding shotgun, so to speak, and calmly reassuring the reader
that there is a right track and ... there it is. It might be subtitled "a
pill against panic".
