[DCRM-L] Exploring Data Elements for Rare Materials Description

Colleagues,

RBMS Bibliographic Standards Committee (BSC) member Allison O'Dell has submitted the attached proposal to create a task force to explore data elements for rare materials description. This was discussed at the BSC meeting during the American Library Association's Annual Conference and the committee will be voting on it soon. I post it to DCRM-L for further comments or questions. If you would like to do so, please reply by  July 8th.

Please note that this will be a task force within BSC, not an independent task force requiring a vote from the Executive Committee of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of ACRL. The pdf is of the full proposal with background, the Word doc has the title, charge, and membership of the proposed task force.
