[DCRM-L] sequence consisting of a single misleadingly numbered page

Hmmm... In an ideal world (descriptive bibliotopia?) the statement would
*start* with the word pages: pages 18, [5], 'viii', which is somewhat less
ambiguous. Even so, what we have in 300 may be an uncomfortable and not
always coherent sequence of page counts--the reason for the "pages ..."
statement that I append to full collation notes, following the total number
of physical leaves (including initial, internal, and terminal integral
blank leaves). The 300 by itself is not always diagnostic for variants.
