Dear Ann,

Recordings of all the Virtual AskQC Office Hour sessions are available freely to all, regardless of whether you have registered.  The most recent recordings (right now, of the October 2020 sessions) may be found at https://help.oclc.org/WorldCat/Metadata_Quality/AskQC, the same page on which one may register for the November sessions.  Earlier session recordings may be accessed by clicking on “Previous AskQC Office Hours” at the bottom of that page.  There you will find recordings of all but the very first VAOH session from January 2018, which was accidentally not recorded because of a technical glitch.  Presentation slides, summaries, and Q&A from every session (including the first) are also available there.

November’s topic is OMG, there are so many 5XX fields, what do I do?  OCLC Metadata Quality staff will present office hours on Thursday November 5 at 9 AM Eastern and will repeat the presentation on Thursday November 12 at 4 PM Eastern.  Note that both sessions are on a Thursday this month.  You are welcome to attend one or both of these sessions.   The topic will be presented in the first 20 minutes, followed by questions on the topic and/or about any metadata quality topic.

Topic and registration information<https://help.oclc.org/WorldCat/Metadata_Quality/AskQC> is available for the November Office Hour sessions.  When you register, you will receive a reminder email with the link to the session.  As always, the sessions will be recorded and made available for viewing after the presentation.  The link to the previous session recordings is at the bottom of the same webpage as registration information.

Note that we will take December off and return with more Office Hours in 2021.
